The Rocky Mountains combine spectacular landscapes with a fascinating history. Traversing from New Mexico up through Colorado, Utah, Wyoming, Montana, and Idaho, they have been home to various Indigenous tribes; attracted miners looking for gold, silver, and copper; provided hideouts for infamous outlaws; and inspired numerous songs throughout the centuries. These illustrations are my attempt at capturing some of that distinctive scenery and history.
